Mateo Borg Conti obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Master of Notarial Studies from the University of Malta. He is currently preparing to sit for the Notarial Warrant Examination.

During his academic studies, Mateo developed a strong interest in the intersection between law and technology, with particular focus on electronic signatures mainly through his work ‘Expanding the Use of the Qualified Electronic Signature in the Notarial Profession’. He was also an active member of ‘Għaqda Studenti tal-Liġi’, where he contributed to the student organisation’s initiatives and played a role in student activism.

Mateo joined the firm as a Trainee Notary in 2026, where his responsibilities include assisting with the drafting of deeds of sale, loan agreements, and other notarial instruments, as well as handling post-deed registrations and Land Registry procedures.

He is fluent in Maltese, English, and Spanish.
